Show #43 -- Quiet Imprint

I know i say this a lot... but what a great show we had today! Thang Dao joined us to talk about Quiet Imprint which will be perfomed at Austin Ventures Studio Theater on March 6th and 7th. It sounds like an incredible show with music by Trihn Cong Son sung by the acclaimed Khanh Ly . The ticket price is a reasonable $15 and it is 40 minutes long... this is a wonderful opportunity to experience dance if you've never been or if you are a 'dance verteran.'

Show 42 -- Klea Blackhurst

Well, I'm late in posting this (I'd like to procrastinate, but I keep putting it off), but last week we had a marvelous show. The encomparable Klea Blackhurt joined us by phone. Austin Caberet Theatre is bringing her and Billy Stritch to perform their show, Dreaming of a Song: the Music of Hoagy Carmichael.

Show # 39 L'Etolle, Carol Channing, McKelvey

I have been bad… I haven’t posted for three weeks!

I apologize. And it is too bad because on January 6th we had a ‘kick ass’ show. It was our last hour long show and we went out with a super bang. Not only did we have Kevin Patterson of the Austin Lyric Opera on to talk about L' Étoile (which Stuart and I went to [thank you Austin Lyric Opera]) and Michael McKelvey, Austin's priemier Musical Driector, we had CAROL CHANNING by telephone. She sang for us and talked to us about her foundation, Dr. Carol Channing & Harry Kullijian Foundation For The Arts. Please go to their site and see the wonderful work they are doing in California!

Be sure to go see Austin Lyric Opera’s production of Hansel and Gretel in April
